Fanzone: vuvuzela

Getting horny now?

You may wonder if this guy falls over as easily as one might expect. Pretty much! He has got some metal at the front, and I threw on a bone to help too. Still not great.

I know I have one goblin musician on here already, but eventually they could end up in different sections anyway, so I am not worried.

Fanzone: Downed pilot

I like playing stunties and throwing players, and little goblins, snotlings or halflings with goggles and that old skool aviator look are always charming. Now and then, your throw sends an unfortunate little guy over the sideline and into the stands, though... and here he is!

Fanzone: sausage seller

I think this somewhat oddly sculpted goblin (did he need those trousers?) was a freebie or a cheapie at some point, but finally his day has come, and the spectators can buy themselves a fine sausage to snack on at the game.

This weirdo gave me an opportunity to experiment with purple and green together. Limited success, I would say. His hat looks shiny in the picture, but that is just because I have yet to varnish and de-gloss all the fans.

Chaos pact - marauders

All of these are done!

Needless to say, these are not your usual BB-players or even one of the easy and fairly common solutions. They are converted so that they do in fact contain GW-parts, and props to those who can identify the rest of them.

I liked the idea of tribes in the chaos wastes playing BB and wanted to do something different. Too different, perhaps?

Chaos Pact - early WIP

The next season in the league offers me the chance to play around with my assortment of bits and random ideas as I am set to field a chaos pact. Needless to say, it will be creatively put together and quite different.

We start in the milder end of the spectrum with a somewhat leggy and large converted skaven (pad, strap, weapon removed and repositioning) as well as the team goblin. I believe he was born a gretchin, and he too has been disarmed and wrangled a bit and gotten a shoulder pad and strap.

All players are assembled and in a stage of painting at this point, so stay tuned.

Pact for pizza

As a favour to my league opponent and generous host of our boardgame antics, I took on the project of supplementing his team of converted humans with a dark elf, a goblin, a skaven, a troll and a minotaur. In return for some free deep pan pizza.

There were two challenges.

1. Keeping cost down. This was a "just whatever you can find"-job, but with a clear focus on getting in some cheap players. That meant conversion, as I obviously have loads of time for that...

2. Matching the paint job. I had one of the other players to work from as a dummy, and I had to try and match his base as well, obviously. This meant that the paint job is not representative of my current level of skill as such, as it involved some cheap and easy techniques that I would otherwise not be using.

That said, these minis should match up nicely with the ones he has, providing him with another team to play, and a unique one at that.
