No, I do not play them without treemen, but those are still not completely done. They are in that awkward phase where I hate them and feel tempted to replace them, but hopefully I can settle for just painting the eyes in a fancy way.
Grassed up! Not the most sophisticated job done with flock in the history of basing, but I consider it quite a success. In the future, I think I will do blood bowl bases like this, unless I am going for ye olde astrogranite look.
I like the grass tone. The minis are all quite bright now, in spite of the somewhat dark iron armour.
Treemen need work still. Tempted to do glowing eyes, space marine terminator style... Red or green?
Another shitty day drives me to hermit-like hobbying... this means basing, something I have taken quite a bit of flack for not having put much work into in the past. But yes, point taken, why put the effort into painting if the bases let the miniature down? So out came the glue, crap brush, over priced sand, jar...
Got a lot of washing done. Horrible day other than that, so tried to occupy my brain with painting.

Does anyone have a quick and easy way of doing grassy bases or a link to one? I am lazy, but I have grass and glue.

After some tedious highlights and armour washing, I have managed to get the little ones in decent shape for a game tomorrow night. Clinging to first place in the league, if fate would have it...
Left to do: hair, eyes, food, trim on the legs, fancy helmets... I think that is it.
